Doom and Gloom

So this is a new blog platform and it uses #ATProto which allows sign-in via Bluesky. Neat.

Don't expect regular updates from me. I want to write, but have a severe spoon deficit. I might write bad fiction as a way of getting it out of my head.

Doom and Gloom. Climate change has taken a back seat to the awful shit happening across the globe. People make money upsetting others by doing horrible things to get more views. Algorithms on social media drive boys to fascism. Goverments seem impotent to curb the excesses of tech billionaires. Politics is a playground for the affluent and connected. One plumber gets elected and dared to criticize the drinking culture in the UK House of Commons; the wailing response was immature and embarrassing.
